While celebrations this year will feel different, we are working hard with What’s On Rotherhithe Group and CES Lighting Designer to deliver the Rotherhithe Illuminated! project in time to celebrate the Mayflower safe return to her home port in 2021

The Rotherhithe Illuminated! project will form part of the Mayflower 400 commemorations and will serve as a permanent legacy for Rotherhithe, reminding current and future generations of its heritage and identity as the Mayflower’s home port. The design intent of this community led project is to enhance architectural details of historically significant buildings within the Rotherhithe Conservation Area as one holistic and aesthetic lighting scheme. When illuminated, the spire of St Mary’s church and the chimneys of Thames Tunnel Mills and the Brunel Museum will also be visible from the River at night.
