While most projects are residential, ranging from substantial country houses to small London terrace houses and from sizeable extensions and alterations to minor repairs, the practice is also involved in conservation and repairs to churches within and outside London, to listed retail and office premises, schools, and arts, culture and entertainment buildings.
The majority of our projects involve listed properties including rescue and heritage at risk projects, but we also undertake new build projects and conversions.
Our portfolio and expertise covers all periods including Medieval, Tudor, Jacobean, Georgian, Victorian, Edwardian, Vernacular Buildings, Arts & Crafts interiors, using many construction types and materials – timber frame, stone, brickwork, concrete, glazing, lime and roman cement.
Sustainability is at the heart of our approach to repair and conservation and we have expertise in introducing sympathetic, low impact, low energy design into historic structures, incorporating natural materials to provide insulation and environmental controls.
