Refurbishment and extension of listed terrace

Coborn Road is a Grade II listed late C18 Georgian terrace in the Tredegar Square Conservation Area.

The house featured initially two small and unsightly rear extensions and the interiors needed repairs and redecoration. We obtained Planning Permission and Listed Building Consent to replace the rear extensions with a two-storey and a single storey infill to provide more space and light. The first, on three levels comprises a sitting area at ground floor joining to the dining area and open to the garden through slim frame doors. The upper half landing gives access to a new Bathroom while the void between the Study and the new Bathroom cleverly houses a hot water cyclinder and storage.

The single storey infill has a generous skylight to provide light to the Kitchen and a green sedum roof to improve views from the upper floors whilst contributing to the local biodiversity.

The Kitchen features new units, a breakfast bar and an underground wine cellar. The dining area opens as well onto the garden.

Original features such as windows, fireplaces and joinery are now repaired and redecorated.
