Country House, Vale of White Horse: repair
The house was in need of considerable repair, including complete re-roofing, but external alterations were limited. For example, modern French doors to the dining room were replaced by a traditional sash window, with an oeil-de-boeuf window above. Rotten structural posts either side of the front door were repaired and the surround was carefully reinstated.
