Principal

Roger Mears

Roger set up Roger Mears Architects in 1980, developing expertise in the field of repairs, alterations and extensions to historic buildings in domestic use. A particular interest in joinery repairs led to the publication of leaflets giving guidance on window repairs and historic glass. Roger has been a member of the committee (now a Guardian) of the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings (SPAB) since 1996 and of the casework panel of the Georgian Group since 2006. He is chair of the trustees of Adfer Ban a Chwm - revitalize hill and valley, a charity whose aim is to rebuild derelict farm houses as affordable homes for local families in rural Wales, and a trustee of Youth Experience in Sport, a charity providing opportunity through sport for young people.
